02/07/10 - Still This Need has been reviewed in Verbal. A pdf copy can be downloaded here (issue 31). This Derry-based magazine is packed with really interesting articles and interviews - well worth checking out.

19/05/10 - New poem on Gists and Piths e-zine, plus new poems forthcoming in Under the Radar and Southword Journal this summer. More details soon.

17/03/10 - a short piece I have written has been published on Verse Palace, a collection of articles on aspects of poetic process and technique, edited by Frances Leviston.

08/03/10 - The anthology Dove Release: New Flights and Voices, featuring poets involved in the writing programme at Warwick University, has been published by Worple Press. It features one or more poems by sixty writers, including writers from my time at Warwick (such as Zoe Brigley, Swithun Cooper, Jonathan Morley and George Ttoouli), some established names like Ruth Padel, Fiona Sampson and George Szirtes, as well as many new poets we are sure to hear more of in the future. It costs £10 and can be ordered from Worple Press (www.worplepress.co.uk) or Central Books.

07/12/09 - Last Monday evening the Troubadour in Earl's Court was sold out for the annual Troubadour Poetry Prize celebration, with prize winners and judges Maura Dooley and Jamie McKendrick reading. My poem 'Three Deer' was commended. The winning poems can be read on the Coffee-House Poetry website here.

30/11/09 - Best of Irish Poetry 2010 is now published! Edited by Matthew Sweeney, it contains 50 poems published in journals in the past year, including poems by Heaney, Longley, Muldoon and Flynn. It can be purchased from the Munster Literature Centre here.

02/11/09 - an interview with me has gone up on The Literateur web-magazine (www.literateur.com), a great site which is regularly updated with articles, interviews and poems.

22/10/09 - More Nottingham goings-on. I have been commissioned to write some poems to celebrate the David Hockney/Frances Stark exhibitions at the new Nottingham Contemporary Gallery. If you're around Nottingham on 24th November pop in at 7pm to hear me read the new poems, along with poets Wayne Burrows, Sue Dymoke, Carol Rowntree-Jones and Gregory Woods. www.nottinghamcontemporary.org

30/07/09 - a recording of me reading 'Fledgling' at the Nottingham Poetry Series reading in May, along with readings by Pam Thompson and Will Smith, is now online here.

27/07/09 - my poem 'Still Life with Five Nests' has been chosen for The Best of Irish Poetry 2010 (Munster Literature Centre), edited by Matthew Sweeney. More details soon.

12/05/09 - I have been interviewed about Still This Need on BBC Radio Ulster's Arts Extra programme.

05/05/09 - My poem 'The Geologist's Funeral' has been shortlisted for the Buxton Poetry Competition, judged by Fleur Adcock and Michael Schmidt. The shortlisted poems will be on display in the Devonshire Dome, Buxton, from July 10th.

15/04/09 - Still This Need can now be bought online at Amazon or direct from the distributors Central Books.

13/04/09 - Still This Need has been launched! Many thanks to all who came along on Thursday evening - I was overwhelmed by the turnout! Thanks especially to the other poets and performers: Swithun Cooper, Jon Morley, Si Hayden and Marcio-Andre de Souza.
